Am I the only one who thinks that Kish's arc, would feel better if they explicitedly showed him accepting Ichigo rejecting him, but still loving her despite that, even if he knew he can never be with her?
SURE still have him attack him when doing the superhero / supervillain business, but keeping it strictly professional?
Like say, if he somehow heard she is "missing a date with her boyfriend for this (fightning Kish)", he just suddenly called for a retreat, under the excuse that "they need to rethink their strategy" (but in reality, he just wants his "beloved" to spend time with her boyfriend) .

I don't know. It is so weird seeing him have all those dialogues in this episode about "Ichigo being so important to him, that he will still fight his own lord Deep Blue, for her sake"; when less than 3 episodes ago, he nearly strangled her to death after she made clear she didn't like him.
Is this the case due to this new anime being short? Or Was Kish like this in the manga or in the 1st anime too?

Ichigo was more important to him than Deep Blue-sama or the alien race.

I don't know about the manga since I haven't read it, but he was like this in the old anime too, going on and on about how Ichigo was his toy and that he wants Ichigo to go with him on their planet or something like that, even though I do kinda remember Kissh accepting her refusal at one point and more or less stopping bothering Ichigo about that. In my opinion, what Kish felt for Ichigo was more the possessiveness of a child who gets a new toy and not wanting anyone else to play with it than real love.

I'd have preferred a lot more if they had a final battle before Ichigo gets to Deep Blue where Kish, after being finally defeated (correct me if I'm wrong, but I don't remember her even besting him in actual combact), comes to terms with his feelings for Ichigo and only after that steps in between Ichigo and Deep Blue taking the blow for her. It still wouldn't quite count as Kish loving Ichigo in a romantic way, at least for me, but it would certainly add more depth to his death scene and maybe make me feel a bit more bad about it (even though I already know how the story is going to end).

Well, at least this time we got to see some fighting, in the old anime Kish got dealt with in just one move.

If nothing else, this finale has a rocking soundtrack behind it.

Idk why but Lettuce defeating Pie was oddly satisfying lol, she's definitely grown a lot since her first episode

See if Kish had shown Ichigo this side of his from the very beginning, maaaaybe he would've been competition for Aoyama earlier

Purin and Tar-Tar were indeed a thing even in the OG.
That's why they are paired in the opening as well.

Dunno of original, but here - Purin likes younger guys she can act like a big sister with, and Tar-tar is the only one who fits the description.

Also, Kish should stop simping, that's unhealthy and can lead to early death.

I think their relationship here is a "like" in a family way more than in a romantic way, it fits better with Purin's character too

I didn't see a crush between Pie and Lettuce at all in the original but yes on the crush on Shirogane.

Maybe it was only in the anime? I haven't read the manga yet, and to be 100% fair it's been at least ten years since I watched the old anime so I could remember wrong

That's what I heard about the original. That those 2 were a thing in the original anime (i don't know if they were in the manga too), but here, they barely even had dialogues together (probably because the need to cut stuff for the sake of time)

Yeah, I haven't read the manga so I don't know about that but the old anime had around 50 episodes so all the romantic relationships had more room to be developed.

She must be one of the worst - if not THE worst - magical girl anime team leader I have ever seen.

It´s all about him to her and the others have no problem with that, which makes me even more angry about Ichigo and let her teammates look stupid.

Better send her ahead to save him alone instead of working as a team to defeat the other two first and than do the final boss battle together.
